How Goke Photography Began
Goke Photography Studio London is an award-winning London photography studio founded on a simple love of storytelling through images. The journey began long before the studio itself from 1994 to 2006, our founder served on the technical media team for a local church, recording sermons and capturing community events that aired weekly on regional TV and radio stations. It was unpaid work, but it sparked a lifelong passion for visual storytelling that shaped everything we do today.
In 2014, that passion became a registered business. The turning point came from a conversation with a friend who, two years after his wedding, had still never received his photos from his original photographer. A quick online search revealed it wasn't an isolated incident couples across the UK were waiting months, sometimes years, for galleries that never arrived.
We saw a real problem we could solve, and we built our entire studio around fixing it. That same week, Goke Photography began as a small freelance practice, taking on portrait sessions and local events. Every project became an opportunity to learn, refine our craft, and understand the true power of visual storytelling.
Over the next decade, what started as a single photography studio founder's solo practice evolved into a full London photography studio recognised for cinematic wedding films, elegant portraits, and meaningful event coverage. Today, Goke Photography is trusted by couples, families, and brands across London, Manchester, and the United Kingdom.
